The entrance to the job is right through there. It is a tight fit.

First we drive a short steel piling into the ground as far as we can.

That's down to the water almost. Now we weld the main part on top of this one.

Grind the piling out and weld a sleeve inside to guide the main pile on with.

 

That's 40 ft long and 10 inch Steel pipe. Cleats and fittings have been welded on already.

 

Now we carefully pick the main up and move over to place it on the other.

 

Quite a crowd has gathered to watch of course.
